In 1967 the Cyrenes and Crusaders presented their decisions to the Knights Templar to comply with the request made of them in 1966. This was not the first time of a request to merge the two groups. History dates back to before 1120 AD to assist the Knights Templar during the battle of Gaza. The Cyrenes served as nurses and the Crusaders served as a maintenance group by loading, reloading and cleaning the weapons for the Knight Templar warriors.
